1 Day-Tour to Beng Mealea, Banteay Srei, Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm Temples

Begin your day as early as 7:30 am. Let your adventure begin at one of Angkor’s most mysterious temples, Beng Mealea, also known as the Titanic Temple. The temple is about 58 kilometers away from Angkor Wat, which keeps it away from the crowds.

The temple was built in a style more reminiscent of early Buddhist temples, demonstrating the enduring influence of ancient Indian culture on the Khmer Empire. Following your visit to Beng Mealea, you will travel to Banteay Srei, a 10th-century temple adorned with some of the most intricately carved sandstone sculptures you’ll find anywhere on earth.

Following that is Ta Prohm, also known as the “Jungle Temple” due to its natural preservation. Built by King Jayavarman VII as a memorial to his mother, it is quite unique in that, unlike other temples, it was never completed and thus retains its natural beauty.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll return to town, on the way, passing by Banteay Kdei, an important Hindu site dedicated to an ascetic deity representing purity and virtue.

The dry season, which lasts from November to March, is the most popular time to visit Angkor Wat. These days are cooler and dryer, but they are also the busiest, so expect crowds. Despite the fact that these are technically “winter” months, weather conditions are still quite warm.

Angkor Wat’s dress code forbids uncovering clothing, such as those that expose shoulders, knees, or cleavage. When visiting Angkor Wat, visitors should dress in cover clothes that cover their shoulders and pants, or skirts that fall below the knee.

It is recommended that you bring strong footwear, a hat, sun cream, sunglasses, torch, and extra water to avoid dehydration due to the humidity on this tour.
